Solar Panel Installation in Grapevine
We design and install solar for your home, then give you a written timeline that covers the site visit, permits, install days and utility approval. You get set arrival windows, and if a date has to move, we tell you before it does, along with the reason and the new plan.
A solar install you can plan your weeks around
Most of the time between saying yes and making power is paperwork and waiting on others: the city permit, the inspection and your utility's approval to turn the system on. The work on your roof usually takes one to three days. We lay out both parts at the start, so you know which weeks need you at home and which ones happen quietly in the background.
We take the same care with the finish. Conduit runs are kept tidy and painted where they cross visible walls, panels sit in clean, even rows, and every roof penetration is flashed and sealed. Our company is BBB Accredited with an A+ rating, and we would rather earn your trust with a clear plan than with a sales pitch.
What your installation includes
- Roof check at the site visit
- We take roof measurements, note shade from trees and nearby buildings, and inspect your main breaker panel. If the shingles have just a few years left, we say so during the visit, before anything is signed, since panels should go on a roof that will last longer than they do.
- A design based on your bills
- Your array is sized from the last twelve months of electric bills rather than an estimate. In North Texas, summer cooling makes up most of the bill, so those months get a careful look.
- Permit and utility paperwork
- We file for the city permit, schedule the inspection and prepare the interconnection forms your utility asks for. A few of them need your signature. We keep track of everything and make the follow-up calls.
- Racking, wiring and inverters
- Rails are anchored into rafters with flashed mounts, wires run through conduit, and the inverter or microinverters are installed and tested before we go.
- Monitoring app and walkthrough
- We set up the monitoring app for your system and show you how it works. You will see what a typical day looks like and what should prompt a call to us.
Signs solar is the right call for your home
Summer bills that sting
If July and August bills are far higher than spring, your home uses most of its power when the sun is strongest. That is where solar earns its keep.
A roof in good shape
A roof with plenty of life left and open south or west faces is the ideal starting point. If yours was replaced recently, the timing is especially good.
Years ahead in the same house
The savings build month by month rather than all at once. Families who expect to live in their house for the long run see the full return on the system.
An EV or a battery on the horizon
If you are adding an electric car or thinking about battery storage, we can size the array now so it handles that load later without a redesign.
How the work unfolds, step by step
- 1
First call, then a visit
It begins with a phone conversation about your home and your bills. We then book an hour-long visit with a set arrival window, spent on the roof and at the main breaker box.
- 2
Your proposal in writing
A drawing of the panel layout comes with the equipment list, a line-item price and a week-by-week schedule. Read it at your own pace and phone us with any questions.
- 3
Permits and utility review
This stage takes the longest and depends on city and utility review times. We let you know each time something is approved, and when something stalls, we tell you that too.
- 4
Install days
Our crew arrives in the window we gave you, protects landscaping below the work area, and keeps the driveway clear when they can. Most homes are finished in one to three days, and we clean up each evening. If a storm forces a reschedule, you hear from us the day before.
- 5
Inspection and switch-on
After the city inspection passes, the utility grants permission to operate. We confirm the system is producing and walk you through the monitoring.

What shapes the price of your system
Every home is priced from its own roof, panel and power use, so we do not quote a system without seeing it. Your written proposal breaks the cost into line items, and the price only changes if the scope does, which we would talk through with you first.
- System size
- More panels mean more output and more material. Your usage history sets the size, not a package.
- Roof layout and access
- Steep pitches, multiple small roof faces and two-story eaves take more time and safety equipment than a simple, single-plane roof.
- Electrical panel condition
- Older or full panels sometimes need an upgrade to accept solar. We check this at the site visit so it never appears as a surprise later.
- Equipment choice
- Microinverters, string inverters and panel efficiency all affect cost. We explain the tradeoffs in plain terms and let you choose.
Questions about solar panel installation
Something not covered here? (817) 382-3937
How long from the first call until my panels are producing?
Usually several weeks, and most of that is permit and utility review rather than work on your home. Your proposal includes a timeline built on current review times. If the city or utility runs slow, we tell you as soon as we know and give you an updated date.
Do I need to be home on install days?
Please have someone there when the crew pulls up on the first morning. We walk the panel placement together and make sure we can reach the breaker box. Once that is settled, most homeowners carry on with their day, and we phone ahead if the crew is running late for the window we set.
What happens if weather pushes back my install?
Rain, high wind and the spring hail season can all move a roof day. We watch the forecast and call you the day before if we need to shift, with the next available date rather than an open question.
Will you tell me if my roof needs attention first?
Yes. We look the roof over at the site visit and give you an honest read. If it is close to needing replacement, we recommend handling that before panels go up, since removing and reinstalling them later adds cost.
Do I get credit for power I send back to the grid?
That depends on your retail electric plan, because buyback terms vary by provider in Texas. We walk you through what to look for in a plan so your system's extra production is put to good use.
